Welcome to the Spring 2021 edition of Leaker Life.

2020 was a truly horrid year, but at least our UK Covid-19 numbers are now trending in the right direction. The NHS has continued to respond brilliantly to the pandemic, particularly with regard to vaccinations, but it has unfortunately delayed treatments for many patients, not least in our CSF Leaking community. We are all desperately hoping to return to something more like normal in the very near future.

The Association has still been incredibly busy despite lockdowns. This newsletter edition focusses on the critical work of partnering with our medical specialists to develop effective guidelines to provide CSF leakers with improved diagnosis, care and treatment.

Information sharing across the Atlantic continues, and this newsletter contains a great review of a virtual conference hosted by one of the preeminent facilities in the USA, Duke University Medical Center.

In addition, we are proud to announce that our CSF Leak Association website is being redesigned to improve knowledge and experience of our condition.

We still need to fill more positions on the Board of Trustees and to find enthusiastic volunteers to keep the work of the Association going. Please consider helping out if you can.
