We're thrilled to finalise details of the sixth in our series of free webinars, taking place on 10th May 2025 from 3-4.30 PM UK time

This event, titled ‘Symptom Management in SIH, will be delivered by Dr Katharina Wolf, and will explore the following topics:

  • How to manage symptoms while waiting for diagnosis or treatment of a leak - role of bed rest, hydration, caffeine, analgesia, other lifestyle measures
  • How to manage rebound headache with high-pressure phenotype after treatment
  • How to manage orthostatic symptoms which persist despite treatment of a leak or if a leak cannot be found
  • How to manage comorbidities e.g. migraine, orthostatic intolerance, and deconditioning
  • What is the expected prognosis of a patient with a spinal CSF leak - both treated and untreated

Dr Wolf is a clinical scientist, working in Professor Becks team in Germany. She is a neurologist with both clinical and academic special interest in CSF disorder, in particular the mechanisms underpinning CSF flow and CNS motion.

This is an opportunity to engage with an expert who is on the cutting edge of research into this field, and to hear the most up to date evidence.

The speakers are unable to answer questions about specific individual health issues, these are best addressed to your personal doctor. We’ll do our best to address each question as thoroughly as we can within the time we have together.
